Five fatalities were reported on Friday in Balochistan’s Dukki district due to recent torrential rains.
Continued rainfall in various areas of Balochistan, including Quetta city, has disrupted daily life, with roads submerged underwater.
Five laborers were buried under debris and lost their lives when a room’s roof collapsed in Dukki district. The deceased were transported to the nearest government hospital with the assistance of locals.
According to the meteorological department, the highest rainfall was recorded in Quetta, Loralai, Barkhan, Musakhail, Sherani, Zhob, Killa Saifullah, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Mastung, Harnai, Sibbi, and Jhal Magsi. The highest recorded rainfall, 33mm, was in Loralai.
Furthermore, landslides in Sherani’s Dihana Sar region have severed the land route between Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As a result, hundreds of people are stuck on both sides.
