The military operation by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan’s Bolan district has entered its sixth consecutive day, marked by artillery shelling and the torching of civilian homes, local sources report.

On Tuesday, Local sources reported that Pakistani forces had set the residence of an individual named Mir Ahmad ablaze in the Sanjawal, Thalang area. Additionally, the forces have reportedly established temporary bases in the mountainous regions of Sangaan and Harnai, while also conducting intermittent artillery shelling.

Previously, on Monday, it was reported that the Pakistani forces detained six individuals from the Pashtun Waraich tribe in the mountainous region of Harnai. The detainees have reportedly been transferred to Harnai Jail for interrogation.

Earlier, on Sunday, security forces raided houses and detained women and children in the Shaban area near Sibi, targeting specifically the residence of an individual named Aliyan.

The ongoing operation has raised concerns within Baloch social and political circles about the repercussions the local civilian population may face.

There are also fears of extrajudicial killings of individuals who have previously been subjected to enforced disappearances.

As of this report, the Pakistani authorities have yet to issue any official statements regarding the operation in Bolan.
