Former Member of Pakistan’s National Assembly and National Democratic Movement (NDM) leader Mohsin Dawar has been attacked during an election campaign on Wednesday.
According to the police, unidentified assailants fired on the vehicle of NDM leader Mohsin Dawar from two sides, the bullets hit the front and side glasses of his vehicle, which were bulletproof due to which he survived the attack.
The incident took place in Tappi village of North Waziristan when he was engaged in the election campaign in the area.
The National Democratic Movement (NDM) confirmed the incident and demanded for an immediate investigation into the event. The NDM called upon the Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) to immediately convene an emergency meeting regarding the security of candidates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
