A five-day protest camp has been established in front of the house of the Britain Prime Minister against enforced disappearances in Balochistan.
According to reports, the family of businessman Taj Muhammad Sarparah, who was forcibly disappeared allegedly by Pakistani intelligence agencies from Karachi on July 19, 2020, has set up a sit-in protest camp in front of the British Prime Minister’s house in 10 Downing Street of London.
Along with Taj Muhammad Sarparah’s wife, children and relatives, Baloch political activists based in the UK are also participating in this protest camp and this camp will continue till January 7.
In this regard, Salia Marri, the wife of missing Taj Muhammad Sarparah, says that she has been making efforts against the illegal detention and forced disappearance of her husband in Pakistan for the past four years, but she could not get any satisfactory help from the authorities in Pakistan, neither has her husband been presented before the court.
Salia Marri, who is the granddaughter of Khairbakhsh Marri, the founder of the recent movement of Balochistan’s liberation said that her husband, being a Baloch citizen, was subjected to forced disappearance by the Pakistani state agencies.
She further said that the purpose of the protest in front of the house of the British Prime Minister is to demand the British government to play a role in stopping the Pakistani violence in Balochistan and ensuring the recovery of the missing persons in Balochistan.
Mrs. Sarparah has appealed to Baloch political activists and other human rights members and London media to participate in this sit-in protest and be their voice for the recovery of Taj Muhammad Sarparah and thousands of other Baloch missing persons.
