The spokesperson for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Jeeyand Baloch, in a statement released to the media, refuted the news circulating on Pakistani media outlets, particularly Geo News, regarding the “fake” responsibility of the BLA in the killing of nine Punjabis in Soran, area of Western (Iranian-administrated) Balochistan.
BLA spokesperson said they want to clarify that, at present, there is no camp or armed personnel of the BLA in Western Balochistan. They urge media organizations to refer to our official channels for news and responsibilities linked to the Baloch Liberation Army.
The statement comes a day later when in a firing incident in Soran, at least nine people were killed and three were injured. The deceased individuals were identified as Pakistani nationals belonging to the Punjab province.
Regarding the incident, it was reported on Pakistani news channels, including Geo News, that the Baloch Liberation Army has accepted responsibility for this incident. However, the BLA, in a statement published on its official media channel Hakkal, denied any involvement.
