A teenager from Kech district of Balochistan was reportedly taken away by Pakistan forces on Sunday and has not been seen since. The youth, identified as Nadil son of Arada, was a resident of Reik Sarbat area of Buleda, a tehsil of Kech district.
According to local sources, the Pakistani law-enforcement officials arrested Nadil from Buleda and moved him to an unknown location. His family and friends have not been able to contact him or find out his whereabouts.
The incident coincides with a sit-in protest by the Baloch Yakjetti Committee (BYC) in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The BYC is a group of families of missing Baloch people who are demanding the release of their loved ones and justice for the victims of “enforced disappearances” and “extrajudicial killings” in Balochistan.
