At least two Pakistani soldiers were killed and ten others injured in an explosion near a vehicle of Pakistani forces on Warsak Road in Peshawar, the capital of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, on Monday

According to reports, a vehicle of the Frontier Crops (FC) was hit by an explosion on Warsak Road near Prime Hospital Complex on Peshawar this morning, killing two FC personnel on the spot and injuring ten others, including three civilians.

The FC vehicle was headed towards Peshawar from Machni when it was hit by the blast. Soon after the blast, law-enforcement officials cordoned off and the rescue team started shifting the injured  to the combat military Hospital (CMH).

Warsak Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Arshad Khan confirmed that a vehicle of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa FC’s Mohmand Rifles regiment was targeted in the attack at around 10:30 AM, stating that there was “no prior threat”.

However, There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
