On Wednesday, the lifeless body of a rickshaw driver was discovered in Mastung, an adjacent district to the capital of Balochistan.
According to reports, the body of 35-year-old Sher Zaman was found dumped in a mountainous area near the Dasht region of Mastung district.
Sources have indicated that the deceased victim was a rickshaw driver by profession, and he had been reportedly abducted by unidentified gunmen a few days prior to the discovery of his body. His remains were abandoned in the mountainous terrain of Dasht and were later found on Wednesday.
The authorities, specifically the levies, took custody of the deceased individual’s body, and it was subsequently transported to a hospital in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan.
After the necessary procedures were completed, the body was then handed over to Sher Zaman’s grieving family, presumably for funeral arrangements.
In response to this tragic incident, relatives of the deceased rickshaw driver staged a protest by blocking the road near Custom in Quetta’s Sariyab area. They expressed their frustration and raised slogans against what they perceive as the government’s negligence in addressing such incidents.
