Iran’s state news agency claims that iranian law-enforcement agencies have apprehended the killers of human rights activist Hani Gul and her husband Sameer, who were abducted and later murdered in Iran-shahr city of western (Iran-administrated) Balochistan last month.
According to the state news agency Tasnim, a six-member team of the killers was arrested after identification. However, the authorities did not reveal identities of the suspects to the media.
According to the news agency, the group recently kidnapped Sameer Baloch and his pregnant wife Hani Gul Baloch from Iran-shahr city and took them around Sarawan and killed them after several rounds of torture.
It may be recalled that Hani Gul and Sameer Baloch were abducted from Iran last month and later the acid-mutilated bodies were recovered from the border area of western Balochistan.
Hani Gul was a human rights activist and her husband Sameer Baloch was the brother of school teacher Rauf Baloch, who was murdered over allegations of blasphemy in Balochistan’s Kech district.
