Bomb attacks have been reported at two different places during sports festival celebrating Pakistan’s National day in Kharan city of Balochistan on Sunday.

According to reports, first bomb blast took place during the football and volleyball matches near the Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti Stadium in the center of Kharan city at around 6:30 pm. While the 2nd blast occured during a cricket match at Kharan Boys College.

No casualty or damage to the property has been reported so far, while all the players and spectators from both the places left the field after the explosion.

According to sources, both attacks targeted the ongoing sports festival to mark August 14, which Pakistan Celebrates as its Independence Day.

The sports festival is being led by District Sports Officer Mr. Habib Kubdani.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attacks, but such attacks have been carried out by Baloch pro-independence armed groups in the past.
