Following recent developments in Pakistan, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has advised the dissolution of Balochistan’s assembly. The summary has been forwarded to the Governor of Balochistan, Abdul Wali Kakar, for final approval.
This decision comes on the heels of a similar move in Sindh, where Governor Kamran Tessori dissolved the provincial assembly based on Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah’s counsel. Notably, the Sindh Assembly’s dissolution occurred before completing its full five-year term.
These assembly dissolutions, together with the earlier dissolution of the National Assembly on August 9th, mark significant political shifts as Pakistan approaches its general elections.
