Four people, including a young girl, have died, and several others are injured in multiple road accidents across Balochistan.

A young girl was killed near Dera Allah Yar in Jaffarabad when a truck struck her as she was crossing the road. Police have detained the driver and the girl’s body has been moved to a local hospital.

On the Loralai-Quetta route, a motorcyclist died after colliding with a truck. Rescue teams transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Local authorities are yet to confirm his identity.

In a separate incident on Sakran Road, Hub, two bikers sustained severe injuries after a collision with a dumper truck. They were given first aid treatment at the Hub Hospital before being transferred to Karachi for further medical checkup.

Furthermore, a car-motorcycle crash on the Landon Road near Panjpai Mashwani Town resulted in the death of a man and left three children injured. The deceased was identified as Haji Dur Muhammad Samalani, and the injured kids are reportedly his grandsons.

In another accident near Mughalzai in Kalat, a collision occurred when an ATC vehicle’s brakes reportedly failed, causing it to crash into a trailer. The conductor, Attaullah, a resident of Quetta, died on the spot, while driver Rozi Khan sustained multiple injuries. They were taken to district hospital Kalat and subsequently transferred to Quetta.

Balochistan’s rising road accidents have been a source of concern for many. Critics argue that poor infrastructure and a lack of commitment from the authorities play a significant role in these tragedies. As residents navigate these challenges daily, the call for more robust safety measures and infrastructure improvements becomes increasingly urgent.
