Armed men reportedly abducted a resident of Pakistan’s Punjab province from the outskirts of Quetta and attacked a truck carrying minerals in the Kalat district of Balochistan.
According to the sources, the incident took place on Monday evening when a man, a resident of Punjab, was abducted by armed men from a picnic spot at Zarghun on the outskirts of Quetta.
The man is said to be from the Multan area of Punjab, but more details about his identity are yet to be ascertained.
Eyes witnesses told TBP that a large number of armed men suddenly arrived at the site and surrounded the people. They questioned them one by one before identifying and detaining their target.
Authorities have not yet provided any details of the incident.
In an another incident, a truck carrying minerals was reportedly attacked by unidentified persons in Balochistan’s Kalat district on Tuesday.
Baloch “pro-independence” group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) took responsibility for both incidents in a media statement.
BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said that freedom fighters of Baloch Liberation Army raided an area in Shaban near Quetta and arrested a suspicious person, hailing from Multan in Punjab while his further investigation underway.
Jeeyand Balocch also said that BLA fighters targeted a trailer “transporting plundered Baloch national resources” in Kalat.
