Turkiye has said that it has killed nine Kurdistan Workers’ Party (KWP) in an air strike in northern Iraq.

The Turkish defense ministry said in a statement on social media that the Turkish army continued to wipe out militants in northern Iraq, claiming that nine fighters of the Kurdish Workers Party were killed in air operations in areas in key operations.

In the statement, Turkish officials said the operation would continue until the last militant was eliminated in the area.

It should be noted that there are a number of Kurdish fighters in these areas. While there have been reports of Turkish forces operating against Kurdish rebels for the past several days, the claims of Turkish authorities have not yet been independently verified.

On the other hand, Kurdistan’s independence activists and other organizations have often accused the Turkish army of targeting civilians in attacks and portraying them as Kurdish fighters, while opponents have also faced severe attacks from Kurdish forces in these areas.
