At least 8 Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were reportedly wounded in a suicide bombing in Peshawar on Tuesday.

According to the police, eight people, including security forces personnel, were injured in the blast in the Hayatabad area of Peshawar, while the blast took place near the FC vehicle.

According to the Peshawar police administration, the blast was carried out by a suicide bomber.

Immediately after the blast, security forces cordoned off the area, while rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital.

CCTV footage circulating in the media shows a suicide bomber with an explosion laded vehicle targeting Pakistani forces vehicle.

The mysterious religious group Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan claimed responsibility for the bombing in a media statement.
