A woman was allegedly killed in the name of honor in the Chaghi district of Balochistan on the orders of a jirga, while levies officials said that the person involved in the incident was arrested.
The incident took place in the Gardi Jungle area of Chaghi district on Saturday.
After the news went viral on social media, the Levies force took action and arrested a person named Syed Mohammad son of Bacha Mama, who was allegedly involved in the incident of killing his sister in the name of honor.
Shakir, son of Bacha, is the brother of the victim, who is an accused in the killing and he has been shifted to Chaghi Levies Police station for investigation.
Levies says that arrests of other suspects in the case are also expected, while the head of the jirga, Ahmed Shah is still at large.
