A Baloch youth committed suicide in the Gwadar district of Balochistan, on Tuesday.
According to reports, a young man identified as Saeed s/o Saleh Muhammad committed suicide in the Surbandan area of the district.
This is the second incident of suicide in Balochistan only in the month of February. However, the motive behind this incident is still unknown.
Similar incidents have also been reported in the past, while suicide rates have seen a major rise in Balochistan in the past few years.
Experts believe that the main reasons behind these suicide incidents are unemployment, inflation, family pressure, insurgency in Balochistan and the counter-insurgency policies of the state — which include enforced disappearances and kill and dumps.
