Pakistan Army’s rations supply vehicle reportedly came under attack in Bolan on Saturday and SP Police was targeted in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan a day earlier — BLA took the responsibility for both attacks.
According to reports, a Baloch “pro-independence” armed group known as the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) took the responsibility for attacking a supply vehicle of the Pakistan Army in the Marwar, Bolan area of Balochistan.
The spokesperson for the group, Jeeyan Baloch said that their fighters confiscated enemy supplies, destroyed the vehicle, and arrested its driver Haidar Khan s/o Sanwal Khan. The driver admitted that he has been supplying rations to the enemy for a long time. Proper legal proceedings will be carried out against the driver in the Baloch national court, He added.
“BLA has warned the locals multiple times to refrain from aiding the enemy forces. If anyone is found involved in aiding the enemy forces, they will have to bear the consequences,” the BLA press release reads. The group also released the photo of the “arrested” driver on its official Telegram channel.
Whereas, on Saturday a loud explosion was heard at the Jhalavan complex in Khuzdar city of Balochistan, followed by heavy gunfire.
According to reports, the squad of the Superintendent of Police (SP) was targeted in the blast, in which two policemen were killed and another was injured. After the blast, a heavy contingent of police and forces reached the scene.
Security forces cordoned off the area and shifted the dead and injured personnel to the civil hospital, and started an investigation into the matter.
A few hours after the blast, BLA took responsibility for the attack in a press release to the media. The group stated that its Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) targeted the convoy of Superintendent Police in Khuzdar. “Two police personnel were eliminated and another was injured in this operation,” statment reads.
The statement further reads: Operatives of STOS executed this operation near Jhalawan Complex in Khuzdar, when they targeted a vehicle traveling in the convoy of SP Police and retired Pakistani Navy official Fahad Khan. In the magnetic bomb attack, two Police personnel Abdul Salam and Mohammad Deen were killed and another personnel was injured, while the Police vehicle was fully destroyed, BLA spokesperson Jeeyan Baloch said.
Jeeyand Baloch elaborated that the attack was in response to the attitude of Pakistani police and levies force, under the patronage of the Pakistani military and its secretive agencies, towards the Baloch public in Khuzdar and adjoining areas. “Under the pretext of snap-checking and raids, the Pakistani Police have been continuously harassing and disrespecting the public, while some Police personnel are also involved in aiding the enemy forces in enforced disappearances of Baloch youth”, BLA spokesperson stated.
