A woman ended her life due to unknown reasons, in the Kech district of Balochistan on Monday.
According to reports, a woman committed suicide in the Tump Sirankan area of the district. However, the motive behind the suicide is not yet clear, and neither has the district administration said anything regarding the woman’s death.
It is pertinent to mention that suicide attempts are on the rise in Balochistan, where most of the cases are reported from the Kech district.
The common reasons for women’s suicide attempts in Balochistan are a combination of depression due to enforced disappearances of their family members, deprivation of their fundamental rights, and societal and familial pressures.
