Two dead bodies were discovered in the Nakgrai area of Balochistan’s Washuk district, the local sources have said. Based on the wounds found in their bodies, the two men appear to have been shot multiple times before being thrown into the wilderness.
The locals identified the two slain men as Muhammad Iqbal s/o Wali Muhammad and Saifullah s/o Sanaullah. The former is a native of the Nakgrai area of Washuk whereas the latter is from Panjgoor.
It is till not clear who killed the two men and why.
In another separate incident, the Pakistani security forces reportedly picked up two Baloch youths from district Kech. The forces reportedly raided several houses in the Daki Bazar and the Absaar area of Kech where they picked up Sarfaraz s/o Ayub and Yousaf s/o Pathan.
The local sources say that the forces carried out the raid in the middle of the night.
A young man was also picked up from the provincial capital Quetta a week ago, allegedly by the Pakistani security forces. The youth, identified as Umeed s/o Khan Rind, “forcibly disappeared” when the forces raided his residence in Quetta’s Brewery Road.
The family sources have said that Umeed was the breadwinner of the family – he worked as a labourer in a day-time shift to provide for his family. His “abduction” has left the family helpless.
His family has appealed for safe release, saying that he is a law-abiding citizen.
