Two people died in a road accident on Thursday morning in Kech district of Balochistan.

According to details, a truck collided with a pick up, near Mashallah hotel in Turbat of Kech district, which caused two deaths.

The deceased were identified as Maula Baksh s/o Haibatan and Rustam s/o Shah Dad, who were residents of Gwadar.

According to reports, the dead bodies were shifted to the Turbat Teaching Hospital for necessary procedure, while the police has arrested the truck driver, Wali Dad s/o Mohammad, resident of Kolwah.

Road accidents are a very common occurrence in Balochistan due to outdated roads, the absence of regulations and the reckless driving of people. Thousands have lost their lives in road accidents. Between 6,000 to 8,000 people die in road accidents each year in Balochistan. The highways of Balochistan are killing more people than terrorism has been killing in the entire country during its peak.
