The Annual Sports Festival kicked in the Government Boys High School in the Gokdaan area of Turbat, district Kech. Headmaster Muhammad Naseem Senghor, Assistant Director Education Mumtaz Baloch and Deputy District Officer Haji Akhtar Ayaz were the chief guests in the inaugural match. 

The opening football match was played between grade 8th and 9th which the latter won by 0-2. 

Addressing the students, the chief guests said that sports week is essential for the physical fitness of the students. They said that education and recreation must go hand in hand – one is useless without the other. They also promised that the trend will continue and sports festivals will be held every year from now on. 

The chief guests said that such extracurricular activities are a wonderful opportunity to observe the latent, non-academic capabilities of the students.
