Balochistan’s coastal city of Gwadar has been put on a two-week-long total lockdown to combat the rising coronavirus cases in the region. Social gatherings have been banned and citizens have been directed to observe precautionary measures, like frequent hand washing and wearing masks in crowded public places.

According to the details, Gwadar deputy commissioner took notice of the violations of the coronavirus SOPs and declared a 14-day-long complete lockdown in the city. During this period, those who have been fully vaccinated will be able to carry on their day-to-day activities. Fishermen will not be allowed to fish in the sea until they are not been vaccinated.

Markets, hotels and restaurants, fast food joints, shops and other places of public gathering will be closed. Medical stores, vegetable and food stores and ration stores will be allowed to open but only partially. The shopkeepers will have to follow all the Covid-19 SOPs, like hand washing, wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.

Tourists, visitors and preaching groups will not be allowed to enter the city for the next two weeks. Social gatherings and religious congregations will be banned and parks, picnic points and other sites of recreation will be closed.
