State authorities have reportedly decided a large-scale military operation in Balochistan.
As the reports of the government’s decision of operation are being received, the military movements in various districts of Balochistan have been stepped up.
According to reliable sources, Pakistan’s top military institutions have decided to launch a large-scale military operation in different parts of Balochistan.
As per reports, the purpose of military operations is to protect the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and obstruct the current rise of attacks on army by insurgents. The decision of military operation comes after the recent attacks on Pakistan Army and installations on CPEC route in Makran region and massive attacks on army camps in Bolan region of Balochistan.
The sources said that under the new plan, the ongoing operations in Balochistan will be expedited and expanded. The scope of the intensive operations is said to be Makran, Bolan, Kohlu and Kalat regions of Balochistan.
It is to mention that recently a surge has been witnessed in militant attacks by Baloch insurgents in the region. The attacks on Pakistan Army and installations in high alerted areas have not only been increased but intensified as well.
The Baloch “pro-independence” groups have troubled the army by their consistent attacks on the CPEC [the multi-billion project of China and Pakistan] route in Makran region. Whereas, the recent massive attacks by BLA in last 2 months on army camps and posts in Bolan region has skyrocketed the Pakistan army’s fret.
