A blast on Sariab Road in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, has injured five people, two of them are said to be in a critical condition.
According to initial reports, the explosives were planted in a motorcycle. “The bomb exploded, when the people were coming out of the mosque after Friday prayer”, police said.
The blast took place near the Usman Bin Affan Mosque on Sariab Road. According to police, the scene was closed to the public but initial reports said no casualties were reported.
The injured were shifted to the hospital, two of whom are said to be in critical conditions.
Razzaq Cheema, the Deputy Inspector General Police Quetta said that bomb disposal squad team has arrived the spot to conduct sweeping of the entire area. “Three motorcycles caught fire in a result of the blast, the nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained,” he said.
