Unidentified gunmen attacked Pakistani forces in Panjgur district of Balochistan, on Tuesday.

Military officials have confirmed the casualties of security personnel in the attack.

According to FC sources, a convoy of three vehicles led by Major Junaid, was on patrol in the mountainous area of ​​Gichk Kahen, on Tuesday morning, when unidentified assailants ambushed it with small and medium weapons.

Authorities have confirmed that eight forces personnel were killed and five others, including a major, were injured in the attack

Whereas, the Balochistan Liberation Front, a Baloch armed organization has claimed the responsibility of the attack.

The spokesperson for the group, Gwahram Baloch, released a statement to the media saying: at least 20 army personnel including an officer died in the attack by BLF fighters, at Mok Kandag.
