Three people, including a Levies official, were killed and three others were injured in firing and other incidents in Panjgur district of Balochistan.
According to details received by The Balochistan Post, unidentified gunmen attacked a house in Balgatar Saahaki area of Panjgur, killing one person and injuring three others.
The incident took place last night, according to reports, a woman was also among the injured.
In another firing incident, unknown armed-men opened fire on a shop in Vashbod area of Panjgur yesterday and fled after targeting a Levies officer Jahanzeb s/o Salam.
In addition, a man was killed with a dagger at Jehlag in Chitkan.
According to police officials, the incident was a result of a domestic dispute while police took timely action and arrested the accused as well as recovered the murder weapon.
Whereas, later today the two aforementioned attacks were claimed by a Baloch armed group. BRA.
The spokesman for the Baloch Republican Army (BRA), Beebagr Baloch, said in a statement to the media that “BRA fighters attacked a State Death Squad hideout in Balgatar Saahaki area of Panjgur last night while they were preparing to attack Baloch freedom fighters under military orders. In this attack a man named Zarif, known to be a bodyguard of Anwar, a key state agent active in Panjgur, was killed and his companion, Hashim was seriously injured in the attack.
The spokesman said that “Jahanzeb, an armed member of the State Death Squad, was killed in another attack in Vashbod area, yesterday. He had been active against the Baloch movement for three years,” BRA spokesman added.
