Hamas has welcomed the EU court decision to remove its name from world terrorist list.
Islamic Resistance Movement of Palestine, Hamas hailed the decision of European court on Friday.
Spokesperson for Hamas, stated about the decision “is positive and a right step in the right direction.”
Hamas’s statement came after the European Court of First Instance in Luxembourg removed Hamas and its military wing, the Qassam Brigades, from terrorist lists on Thursday.
The Hamas official reiterated that this movement “will continue practicing its right to defend the Palestinian people and protect them until the achievement of their freedom and the right to establish an independent Palestinian state,” reported MEMO.
