Railway authorities have taken high security measures in Balochistan to help prevent the attacks.
According to details received by TBP, after the threats received, the security of the trains have been stiffed from the beginning of August.
S.P Railways Quetta, Mehar Mohammed Iqbal told media that railways have received different kind of threats in month of August. Due to that, high security measures have been taken since 1st August.
The security of passenger trains, stations and railway tracks have been increased with the help of Railway Police, Levies Force and Frontier Corps (FC).
It’s pertinent to mention that August has always been the intense month in Balochistan. Baloch people, who are fighting for their independence, they celebrate August 11, as their National Day and call ‘Black Day’ the 14 August, Pakistan’s I-Day. The 26th of August when a veteran Baloch leader, Akbar Bugti died in a battle with Pakistan Army in 2006. 31st of August, mutilated dead body of a (Baloch National Movement) BNM’s leader, Rasool Bakhash was found hanging on a tree, written Pakistan on his body, who according to the local reports, was abducted by Pakistan army.
On all these occasions, Baloch political activists protest and call for shutter down strikes and militant groups attack the trains, security forces and installations.
