A Baloch singer has gone missing after he was arrested by Pakistani security forces from Tump city of Balochistan.
According to details received by The Balochistan Post, Pakistani security forces raided a house in Nazar Abad area of Tump on Monday evening. During the raid a person was arrested and moved to an undisclosed location.
He was identified as Balochi folk singer, Khursheed Ahmed.
‘Some men in civil dress were along with Pakistani forces, who were suspiciously the members of local death squad which works under the supervision of Pakistani intelligence agencies’, locals told TBP.
Balochistan is plagued by the enforced disappearances of Baloch youth and activists. However, recent instances of ‘women and children abductions’ have also been reported.
International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakistani security forces as the perpetrators of ‘illegal abductions in Balochistan’.
