A delegation of BSO-Azad visited hunger-strike camp set by VBMP (Voice for Baloch Missing Persons) in Quetta on Tuesday.
According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, A delegation of Baloch Students Organization Azad (BSO-A) visited the camp of VBMP in Quetta, capital city of Balochistan, on Tuesday.
Talking with the delegation, Mama Qadeer, The vice chairperson of VBMP said that “former chairperson of BSO-Azad played a great role in organisation that’s why Pakistani forces raided her house and threatened her family members”.
“Where people across the world are gathering on United Nations platform to support the human rights, raise voice against violations and vow to be committed to such cause, there on other hand thousands of Baloch people are under extra judicial custody of Pakistani forces. After inhumane torture and murder the dead bodies of these detainees are burnt or dumped in mass graves to hide such crimes”, Mama Qadeer said.
The camp set up by VBMP also completed its 3348th day.
The term ‘Missing Person’ is widely used in Balochistan for the persons who have been allegedly picked up by security forces and are not presented before the court of law and instead kept in military camps.
According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), the campaign group by families of victims, more than 40,000 Baloch men, women, and children are under Pakistani custody.
VBMP also alleges that at least 5,000 missing persons have been killed and dumped over last one decade.
