Anti-Iran armed group, Jaish-ul-Adl, on Sunday released images of abducted Iranian personnel on social media.
According to details, Jaish-ul-Adl has released images of at least 12 Iranian personnel, who were abducted by unknown armed persons last week from western Balochistan.
The Iranian border guards were picked early on the morning of 16th October 2018.
Jaish-ul-Adl released the images on a Telegram channel and through their Twitter account. It claimed that the personnel belong to Iranian Revolutionary Guard and other government agencies.
A huge cache of weapons was also shown in the images.
The state owned media channels of Iran have also confirmed the authenticity of images.
Shehryar Haidar, the Director General of Border Affairs Department at Iranian Foreign Ministry, told the media that all the abductees are in good health and attempts are being made to ascertain their immediate release.
Chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces, Mohammad Hossein Baqheri, had last week called out Pakistan to help in freeing the Iranian border guards. Iran alleges the abducted personnel were shifted to Pakistan.
Jaish-ul-Adl has carried out several attacks against Iranian forces in past too. The group claims it is struggling for the national and religious rights of Baloch living under Iranian control. However, the group has also been accused of practicing extremist religious ideologies.
Many Baloch political groups do not accept the border between Iran and Pakistan as a legitimate border. They claim it is an arbitrary line that divides Baloch nation on both sides.
