Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has resigned from his post.
According to local TBP correspondent, Mr. Achakzai, brother of PKMAP leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai, has resigned from his post.
The resignation has been accepted by President of Pakistan Arif Alvi. Establishment division has also issued a notification regarding the resignation.
Speaker Balochistan Assembly will serve as acting governor until a new governor is appointed.
Achakzai, who was appointed as Governor of Balochistan on 11 June 2013, served as the 23rd Governor of Balochistan.
According to sources, the new governor of Balochistan will be appointed within few weeks.
