The founder of the International Voice for Baloch Missing persons, Mama Abdul Qadeer Baloch has appealed United Nations to take steps and investigate the issue of enforced disappearance in Balochistan.
Last week addressing during 39th Human Rights Council session, Mama Qadeer said, “the abuse of human rights in Balochistan and the number of victims of Enforced disappearances is alarming and is increasing with each day”.
In his speech Mama Qadeer said that, “I myself marched 3000 Kilomerters from Quetta to Karachi and then to Islamabad to seek the safe recovery of Baloch Missing Persons”
“I also held peaceful protest camps at Quetta, Karachi and Islamabad Press Clubs to raise voice for the safe recovery of missing persons including women and children.
“Time to time we received tortured dead bodies of the ones who were disappeared by force by the Pakistani security forces.”
“My own son Jalil Raiky was taken by force in 2009 from our home by the security forces and then after 3 years his tortured dead body was thrown in Mekran in September 2012,” Mama Qadeer said.
Baloch activist Mama Qadeer Baloch further mentioned that no concrete steps and measures have been taken by the state or by any other institution for the safe recovery of Baloch missing persons.
