Multiple blasts hit railway tracks in Sukkur and Noshero Feroz cities in Sindh cancelling many trains for the day.
According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, QaraQaram express and Business trains were cancelled from travelling, when a bomb exploded on a railway track near Sukkur city of Sindh.
No casualties were reported in the blast that destroyed several feet of the track.
Another railway track was destroyed with explosives in ‘Pid Eedin’ town of Noshero Feroz district in Sindh.
According to the railway administration, the blast destroyed a large part of the track and it would take many hours to bring the tracks to normal working conditions.
SRA claims responsibility:
Sindhu Desh Revolutionary Army, an armed pro-independence group, claimed the responsibility of destroying railway tracks in Sindh.
Sodho Sindhi, the spokesperson, said in a press release, “Punjab, largest province of Pakistan, is committing our economic, social and political Genocide. SRA feels it’s final war of survival for the Sindhi nation, so the resistance becomes a national and historical duty.”
“Pakistani Army and their intelligence agencies are abducting and enforced disappearing the Sindhi nationalist political and rights activists”, further read the statement.
Sindhi pro-independence armed groups have claimed responsibility for such attacks in the past too.
