Convoy of Lashkar-e-Khursan, an armed Islamist extremist group, came under attack between Pidark and Turbat area.
According to details the convoy of Mufti Shahmir Bizenjo, the head of Lashkar e Khurasan, was attacked by unknown gunmen resulting in injuries to at least three members of the extremist group.
Local nationalist Baloch political groups allege that Mufti Shahmir also heads a Pakistani government backed death squad that targets Baloch activists.
According to latest details, an armed Baloch organisation, Baloch Republican Army (BRA) has claimed responsibility for the attack. Sarbaaz Baloch, the organisation’s spokesman, said fighters from BRA attacked Mufti Shahmir’s convoy. He accused Mufti Shahmir of being involved in killings and abductions of many Baloch.
