Baloch students and families of those forcibly disappeared held protests in Quetta and Khuzdar, demanding the immediate return of missing Baloch students.

In Quetta, the family of Farooq Baloch, who was recently forcibly disappeared, led a large rally from the University of Balochistan. The demonstration was joined by many students and local residents, calling for the return of missing students and an end to enforced disappearances.

Farooq Baloch’s family had previously suspended a sit-in protest after receiving assurances from local authorities. However, the lack of progress in locating him has prompted them to resume their protests.

Meanwhile, in Khuzdar, students from the Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology held a protest within their university campus. They demanded the recovery of fellow students Anees Ur Rehman and Farooq Baloch. The protesters insisted that their demonstration would continue until Anees and Farooq were safely returned.

The demonstrators expressed serious concern over the rising number of disappearances and criticized the local administration’s inability to address the issue. They called for the release of all missing persons and an end to the practice of enforced disappearances.
