In the town of Dhadar within Balochistan’s Kachi district, a Baloch man is reportedly missing.

On June 5th, the Pakistani security forces allegedly conducted a raid on a residence in the Mushkaap area of Dhadar. During this operation, a man named Yaqoob s/o Siddique was reportedly taken into custody.

Witnesses claim that in the course of the raid, the security forces seized approximately one million in cash, a vehicle, and other valuable items from the property.

It is important to highlight the increasing number of enforced disappearance incidents in Balochistan. Despite these reports, the local authorities continue to reject any claims of such detentions. Zia Langtove, the interior minister of Balochistan, addressed the issue of disappearances in a statement to the press, asserting, “All the missing persons in Balochistan are in the mountains.”

Contrary to these official denials, evidence suggests a different reality. Incidents of enforced disappearances are being documented not just in Balochistan but across various regions of Pakistan, with many of the affected individuals being students.
