A Pakistani forces vehicle was badly damaged as it hit a landmine blast in Dera Bugti. The incident happened in Peer Koh area of Dera Bugti.

According to reports from the area, Pakistani Army vehicle was on a routine patrol when it was hit by a landmine planted by unknown persons.

There were reports of damages to the military vehicle, however, no loss or injury of life was reported.

Dera Bugti is the hometown of late Nawab Akbar Bugti, who was killed during Pervez Musharaf regime in a military operation. Bugti, the former governor of Balochistan, became disgruntled with Pakistani establishment and joined armed resistance for rights in 2005. However, he was murdered in a military operation on 26 August 2006 along with many other members of his tribe.

Armed skirmishes between Baloch fighters and Pakistani armed forces have continued in the region since then.
