A coal miner was killed in Marwarh today when unknown armed persons tried to kidnap him. Marwarh, in the suburbs of Quetta, has one of the largest number of coal mines in Balochistan.

According to details, a group of armed persons tried to kidnap three miners from coal mines of Marwarh. However, at least one miner, named Jahanzeb, was killed when he tried to run. The other two miners suceeded to go inside the mine and escaped kidnapping.

In other news, a dead boy with a bullet wound in the head was discovered from Sabzal road Quetta. He was later identified as Abdul Manan.

An official of Levies, Gul Mohammad, was injured when he was attacked near stadium road in Mastung. Levies is a paramilitary force in Balochistan.
