Three young men, including a minor and a student, were allegedly forcibly disappeared during separate raids in Balochistan’s Kech and Gwadar districts, local sources and a rights group said.

In Kech, Pakistani forces reportedly raided the home of Rasool Bakhsh in the Gwak area of Mand at around 3am and detained his minor son, Sohail Rasool Bakhsh.

Family members said Sohail was taken to an undisclosed location, and no information had been provided about his whereabouts since.

The family alleged that women and children present in the house were subjected to physical abuse and mistreatment during the raid. They also said mobile phones belonging to the family were confiscated.

According to the family, when relatives tried to stop Sohail from being taken away, they were threatened that another son would also be detained if they continued to resist.

In a separate raid in the same area at around 3.30am, Pakistani forces reportedly raided the home of Aziz Baloch and detained his son, Hamza Aziz.

Hamza was also taken to an undisclosed location, and his family said they had received no information about where he was being held or under what legal status.

Separately, PAANK, the human rights department of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), said a student identified as Idrees, son of Rahmat, was subjected to enforced disappearance on July 1 after being abducted at around midnight by personnel it said were associated with the Frontier Corps and Military Intelligence.

PAANK said no information had emerged regarding Idrees’s whereabouts or condition since his detention, leaving his family in distress.

Pakistani authorities had not issued a statement regarding the reported disappearances or the allegations of mistreatment during the raids at the time of publication.

Enforced disappearances have long been reported across Balochistan, where families and rights groups accuse Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies of detaining people without charge and moving them to undisclosed locations. Pakistani authorities have either denied involvement or declined to comment on individual cases.
