The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) has claimed responsibility for a roadside bomb attack targeting a police vehicle near Humayun Sharif in Sindh’s Shikarpur district.
In a statement issued to the media, BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said that the group’s fighters had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) along a highway and detonated it as a police vehicle passed through the area.
According to the statement, three police personnel were seriously injured in the blast, while the vehicle sustained significant damage.
The BRG claimed responsibility for the attack and stated that it would continue carrying out such operations until what it describes as the independence of Balochistan.
There has been no immediate statement from Pakistani police or other authorities regarding the reported attack or the casualties claimed by the group.
