Four people, including two brothers, have allegedly been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani armed forces in Balochistan’s Kech district, local sources said.

Sources said the forces raided the home of a man identified as Abdul Wahid in the Balochabad area of Kech around 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Three people – Haroon, son of Muhammad Jan; Hamood, son of Muhammad Jan; and Fahad, son of Haji Usman – were taken away during the raid, they added.

In a separate incident, a 16-year-old boy named Balach, son of Dilwash, was allegedly detained by Pakistani forces from his home in the Balochi Bazaar Absar area of Turbat on 21 October. His whereabouts remain unknown.

In Balochistan’s capital, Quetta, the protest camp organised by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) continued for the 5,976th consecutive day outside the Quetta Press Club.

VBMP Executive Committee member Niaz Muhammad led the sit-in, which was visited by people from various walks of life expressing solidarity with the families of the disappeared.

Activists at the camp said the continuing cases of enforced disappearance, including those involving minors, show a worsening human rights situation in Balochistan. They urged the authorities to end the practice and either release the victims or present them in court.
