Authorities have recovered the bodies of a young man and woman in Shahrag’s Kili Ambo area, raising suspicions of yet another case of “honor killing” in Balochistan.
According to Levies officials, the deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Faizullah s/o Qahir of the Noorzai tribe from Pishin’s Bostan, and 23-year-old Samina Bibi d/o Abdul Salam of the Suleman Khel tribe, residing in Shahrag. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Shahrag for further examination.
While the exact motive behind the killings has not yet been confirmed, officials stated that investigations are underway. However, local sources suggest that it appears to be a case of so-called “honor killing,” a practice in which both a man and a woman are murdered for allegedly bringing “dishonor” or “disrepute” to their families. Such incidents have become disturbingly common across Balochistan in recent years.
Authorities have refrained from making definitive statements, emphasizing that the cause of the double murder cannot be verified until investigations are completed.
