An armed confrontation in the Tump area of Kech district, Balochistan, has reportedly left one person dead and three others missing.
According to local media reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening when a government-backed local armed group allegedly attacked a residential property. A firefight is said to have broken out between the occupants and the group.
Security forces later arrived in large numbers, cordoning off the area. Witnesses told local reporters that the body of the man killed in the clash was taken into the custody of the security forces.
The deceased has been identified by local sources as Jabar, son of Deen Mohammad, a resident of Tump. They further allege that his two brothers, Amjad and Rashid, along with another man, Waleed, son of Nazar, were detained by security personnel and have since been subjected to enforced disappearance.
Local sources also claim that members of the government-backed armed group sustained casualties in the clash, although no further details have been confirmed. Official statements on the incident have not yet been released.
