A young man has reportedly gone missing after being allegedly detained by Pakistani military forces in the Dera Bugti district of Balochistan.

According to local sources, the youth, identified as Qadeer, son of Noor Hassan Bugti, was taken into custody by Pakistani personnel on Friday morning. Following his detention, he was reportedly moved to an undisclosed location, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

No official statement has been issued by the district administration or other relevant authorities regarding the incident.

Enforced disappearances remain a persistent issue in Balochistan, with human rights groups reporting a continuing rise in such cases. The disappearance of Qadeer has added to the growing concerns of families and activists campaigning for the safe recovery of Baloch “missing” persons.

Human rights organizations and international bodies have frequently accused Pakistani forces and military intelligence of involvement in enforced disappearances. These allegations are often met with denial or silence from the Pakistani authorities.

The incident has further fueled calls for transparency, accountability, and immediate action to address the longstanding issue of disappearances in Balochistan.
