Two Pakistani soldiers were killed in an attack in the Zamuran area of Balochistan’s Kech district, with the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claiming responsibility.
The attack reportedly took place in the Dilh Kek area on Sunday, where a military vehicle was targeted with a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED).
In a media statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the explosion destroyed the vehicle and killed two soldiers instantly. He added that the soldiers were clearing the route for an approaching military convoy when they were targeted.
The BLA said it takes responsibility for the attack and vowed to continue what it called “effective attacks” against Pakistani forces.
No official statement from Pakistani authorities was available at the time of publication.
