A young Baloch girl, Dardang, daughter of Yasir, was reportedly injured in a shooting by Iranian forces in the Chabahar area of western (Iran-administered) Balochistan.
Local sources said the incident occurred near the Governor’s House as Dardang was returning from the market with her father. She was struck by a bullet in the leg and has since undergone surgery for her injuries.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of violence in the region. A 2023 report documented 120 people either killed or injured in shootings by Iranian forces in Iran-administered Balochistan. Among them, 80 were fatalities, while 40 others, including nine minors and three women, were injured. This latest act of violence underscores ongoing human rights concerns in the region.
