Four young Baloch men reportedly went missing from Karachi, Pakistan, on Tuesday.

According to reports, Pakistani forces allegedly detained the four youths after raiding a hotel in Karachi. The detainees have been identified as Zain Baloch, Zareef Ahmed, Akram Baloch, and Anees Baloch, all residents of Panjgur.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) confirmed the incident, stating that the four detained individuals are from the Parom area of Panjgur City and were staying in a hotel in Saddar, Karachi, for medical treatment.

Eyewitnesses reported that Karachi Police and officials dressed in civilian clothing raided the hotel, tortured both the hotel manager and the victims, and then took the manager along with them. The manager was later released, but the four detained youths remain missing.

It should be noted that Balochistan is witnessing a surge in enforced disappearances. Over the last two and a half decades, more than 55,000 people have reportedly fallen victim to enforced disappearances. Many of the missing persons have been found dead or killed in fake encounters, while others have been discovered buried in mass graves without identification. Human rights organizations, including the Human Rights Watch, and Amnesty International, accuse Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies of enforced disappearances and targeted killings in Balochistan.
