A school teacher, identified as Abdul Khaliq Dost Mohammad, was killed in Balochistan’s Awaran district on Tuesday after Pakistani military forces reportedly opened fire in a populated area.
The Human Rights Department of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), PAANK, confirmed the killing on the social media platform X, describing it as a “grave violation of human rights.” PAANK called for accountability and urged Pakistani authorities “to ensure the protection of civilians and uphold international law.”
This incident follows a similar event two days earlier in the Dandar area of Kolwah, where a four-year-old girl, Sitara Shabbir, was reportedly killed after Pakistani forces allegedly fired mortar shells into a civilian area following an attack on their camp by a “pro-independence” Baloch armed group.
